I mean after all, here we are with the CDC and even Fauci admitting that masks were never much more than a placebo and political theater for the Left. But hey, I'm sure your comments are based entirely on "science", and not off the fact that you're a smug political hack, right? So now that we have objective, unequivocal proof that masks did absolutely nothing except give a bunch of bluehaired Land Whales yet another excuse to hurl hate at other Americans, you're certainly going to apologize, right? Calling the pandemic a hoax, telling elected officials to take off their masks because they think it’s a hoax, and then threatening or as wil put it “warning” them of impending revolution because they’ve been asked to wear a piece of fabric over their mouths, is beyond the pail, and should be called out as disinformation by thoughtful people. I sympathize with the person in Wil’s video, because I understand the suffering he’s going through. But I don’t think that anyone, regardless of their veteran status, political affiliation, or general societal status is immune to criticism. I believe that is in large part due to our government’s handling of the situation. It has caused untold suffering throughout the world. Especially with someone with a platform, reaching tens of thousands of people, I admit it. Could I have not been as brusque in my delivery? Yes. Could I have worded it in a more politically expedient fashion? Sure. My point about Wil’s post was this: Anti maskers are morons. I realize people are sensitive to that, and I should have been more thoughtful about it. It’s a reference to their support of trump. It’s still not a reference to their service. And perhaps some military members were in those caravans.
I was not talking about the military, who I deeply respect. I said “Y’all Qaeda” in reference to trumper caravans with all of their flags. My comment was never meant to denigrate service members, and I think that a careful evaluation of it bears that out. I am the one who criticized Wil’s post, because I think it’s dangerous.įirstly, to veterans reading this, I appreciate your service. So, seeing as how this all snowballed into a big mess, I thought I’d come over to the FIF Reddit and speak my mind.
